More power to Mr. Broad! As struggling the art scene is right now and how tight people are with their spendings, including museum visits, the presence of such person and his donations to all the museums in LA county keeps it going. And yes, it's ok to build another museum. Let people see what he has collected! I am pretty sure Mr. Broad will also have room for emerging arists to show as well, which is promissing. As for MOCA... Sorry to say... But only the strongest make it in this harsh environment. It is the time for people to be careful and sellective these days and one has to be very creative to stay afloat. As an independent art dealer and director, I can see how their sheets can't add up... We need more foundations and I have a very unique idea. Anyone interested? We need to support what we have. We can't have to happen in LA what happened in Vegas with closing of such a great museum!
