In an announcement strategically planned to coincide with Art Basel Miami Beach 2012, the Knight Foundation announced Monday, December 3rd that it would commit $23 million in new funding for arts and culture endeavors in South Florida. Institutions and groups receiving the funding run the gamut from small, community groups and individuals to more established cultural institutions.
