Two artists that installed a guerrilla art exhibition in the stairwell of the Whitney this weekend have been slapped with a lifetime ban by the museum. “It’s just exploring different sites, contexts, and receptions, and exploring the viewers since the viewers are what activated the sites,” says Ki Smith, one of those caught deinstalling the work.
