Maya Lin has unveiled her redesign of the Smith College Library in Northampton, MA, returning some of the original concepts and ideas for the campus that were developed by planner Frederick Law Olmsted. “We basically get to give the heart of the campus back to Smith,” she says. “It was a reductivist scheme. Less is more.”
