Artist Gillian Wearing will be the first female to create a sculpture for London’s Parliament Square, The Guardian reports. Wearing will honor suffragist Millicent Fawcett with a statue. “Millicent Fawcett was an incredible woman and by honoring her in Parliament Square I believe she will continue to inspire generations to come,” Wearing says.
