William Kentridge Opening New Exhibition Space in Johannesburg Built on Encouraging Experimentation and Failure

Artist William Kentridge is opening a new exhibition space in Johannesburg called the Centre for the Less Good Idea, and intended as a “safe space for uncertainty, doubt, stupidity and, at times, failure,” the Art Newspaper reports.  The exhibition program is designed to sidestep demands for efficiency and effectiveness often seen in the language of NGOs funding art projects in the country.
