Hans Haacke gets the profile treatment in the New York Times this week, as he prepares to mount a major retrospective at the New Museum. “To introduce something that deals with the social and political world that we live in — that was alien,” Haacke says of his early work. “Maybe I was naïve, but I did not expect that this would cause problems.”
