From February 28 until April 19, Peter Blum gallery presents the exhibition of Rosy Keyser’s “Rivers Burn and Run Backward.” This is Rosy Keyser’s first solo exhibition in New York.

The exhibition is composed of a group of paintings and a selection of works on paper. Keyser, a Cornell Fine Arts graduate, references pop culture, spiritual narratives and historical art concepts such as “visionary painting” and “assemblage.” Keyser’s paintings typically show a cause and an effect, and the concept that the natural world is instable and impermanent. The artist was born in 1974 in Baltimore, MD and lives and works in Brooklyn, New York .
