For art purists, Terence Koh’s Big White Cock neon sculpture can be scooped up at the Saatchi Gallery. For the rest of us, Exhibition A’s Monochrome Set at the Ace Hotel on Tuesday night provided an egalitarian entry into the contemporary art world. Selected prints from prized contemporary artists including Koh, Hanna Liden, Nate Lowman, Josephine Meckseper, Aleksandra Mir, Olympia Scarry, Peter Sutherland, Leo Fitzpatrick, and Purple Magazine Editor in Chief Olivier Zahm were made available.

- The opening reception was well attended by Ace Hotel and art aficionados spilling over from the lobby as well as diners from the John Dory Oyster Bar in the vestibule fronting the boutique shop Opening Ceremony. Half Gallery co-owner, Bravo’s Work of Art judge and Exhibition A co-founder Bill Powers, fashion designer Cynthia Rowley and artist Laura Martin were present to promote and showcase the accessible art pieces. According to Bill Powers, “Exhibition A expands the parameters of collecting contemporary art and broadens the audience participating in this often very niche community.”
