Restoration has been scheduled to begin on the Carracci Gallery in the Palazzo Farnese, a Baroque masterpiece primarily executed by Annibale Carracci. The monumental frescos and stucco frames date to the early 17th century. Restorers are now bidding on the project, which is scheduled to start in January and take one year to complete. The joint Italian-French project, expected to cost about $1.5 million, was funded by the World Monuments Fund and other arts patrons.
