Richard Armstrong announced that six of approximately 100 acquisitions that have been made for Guggenheim Abu Dhabi so far have come from the art fair, which opened last week. They include work by Jacques Villeglé, Rachid Koraïchi (Algeria), Monir Farmanfarmaian (Iran), Ai Weiwei; El Anatsui and Subodh Gupta.
