Following a turbulent year of art sales and auctions, which saw a 7% reduction in worldwide sales, the United States is once again the leader for art sales globally, according to art economist Claire McAndrew. Â Presenting her findings this week at TEFAF Maastricht, McAndrew underlined the current instability of the global economy, and the resultant reliance on safe art investments and blue chip artists.
