The Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Whitney have announced a joint retrospective of the work of Jasper Johns, set to open in the fall of 2020.  “We thought, ‘What if we created a new model for a retrospective that did not try to survey the artist’s career all in one place in one moment, but that could be shared?’†says Scott Rothkopf, who is curating the Whitney’s portion of the exhibition.
