Tate Britain to Embark on Rehang of Collection

Tate Britain is planning a rehang of its full collection, Artforum reports, changing the previous hanging strategy of director Penelope Curtis. “We want to look at how social factors caused art to take the forms it did,” director Alex Farquharson said. “So there could be big themes, like London as an urban space in the eighteenth century or Britain in the post-war age of anxiety.”
