Work by Santiago Serra including pixelated photos of 24 people referred to as “political prisoners,” including Catalonian separatist politicians, has been removed from the ARCOMadrid fair in Spain, after organizers feared criticism over the work’s inclusion. Serra responded that the move “damages the international reputation of the art fair and the Spanish state.”
