NYT Looks at Recent Sackler Protests and Future Pressures on Museums

A piece in the NYT this week charts the recent removal of the Sackler name from the galleries at the Louvre, and forecasts the likelihood that more museums will follow suit.  “We are not a partisan organization, we are not a political organization, so we don’t have a litmus test for whom we take gifts from based on policies or politics,” said Daniel H. Weiss of the Met’s removal of the family name, noting the extreme circumstances at play. “If there are people who want to support us, for the most part we are delighted.”
