GQ profiles artist Jonathan Lyndon Chase, and the artist’s approach to depicting black queer men. “I’m interested in just being honest,” he says. “Everyone always asks, ‘How long have you done art? What’s your influence?’ That would be my mom, Mary Chase. She used to draw for me a lot, so that’s where I get my visual love from.”
