Since March 13, at the lobby of the Lever House on Park Avenue in New York, Richard Dupont has set nine naked figures as the latest installation piece in Aby Rosen’s iconic office tower.

Richard Dupont’s new exhibition “Terminal Stage” runs from March 13 through May 3. The project’s title refers to biological metamorphosis and transformation that is a theme in Dupont’s major works since 2003. It reportedly took five years for Dupont to realize and achieve this projec and as such, the figures represent the artist at different stages. To create an exact replica of his body,the artist had to find a full-body laser scanner. “There aren’t too many people who have these scanners,” Mr. Dupont said. “Most of the options were in California near Hollywood, where they use them for special effects.” “Terminal Stage” has the aim to analyze the relationship between the body and its environment.
Richard Dupont’s work is in many private and public collections, including The Museum of Modern Art, The Whitney Museum of American Art and The New York Public Library.
