Artist Omer Fast is facing a backlash over his current installation at James Cohan in Chinatown, which replicates a shuttered Chinese business. “Chinatown is a 150-year-old thriving community that people built on their own,” says protest organizer Betty Yu. “When an artist equates our culture as garbage, it’s really insulting to the community.”Read more at The Guardian
