The massive storm surge in Venice has caused substantial damage to property, but has not caused damage to works of art in museums and in the Biennale, Art Newspaper reports. We are essentially unable to protect ourselvesâ€, said the engineer Pierpaolo Campostrini, one of the procurators at The Basilica of San Marco.
