From May 22 – June 21, the James Cohan Gallery presents the works of Alison Elizabeth Taylor. This will be her second solo show at the gallery. She is best known for using the medium of wood marquetry. The artist creates narrative works which show American life with the underlying theme of violence and sexual tension. Taylor’s modern stories show the estrangement from nature. The subject matter is the barren American West and culture’s castaways.
