Jen Bekman, the Lower East Side gallerist who also runs Hey, Hot Shot!, an online photography competition, will be launching her latest online venture, 20×200. She’ll be curating an online exhibit with prints in editions of 200 each available for only $20.
The accessibility of the prints via the Internet combined with the assurance of a quality print from a curator like Bekman clicks fine art into the hands of those who can’t afford work by contemporary artists that are going for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The site is still in a beta version but the site is expected to open to the public soon. A spread in October’s issue of Dwell magazine features prints by Kate Bingaman-Burt and Youngna Park.
