Interview Magazine—founded by Warhol—and the Andy Warhol Museum debuted a never-before-seen film by the artist himself, shot on 16 mm film in 1968 with Paul Morrissey at The Standard Miami on Friday night. The film’s trailer looped throughout the night before Eric Shiner, Director of the Andy Warhol Museum, introduced “San Diego Surf.” In Warholian style, the film meandered with little plot, and most of the actors couldn’t actually surf. The party’s guest list, including celebrities from the art world and beyond, was pleasantly surprised by the evening’s flash mob: wigged and black-clad dancers performing to Lou Reed’s “Take a Walk on the Wild Side.”

Global Warming Causes Carbon Dioxide.

Design News November 5, 2007 | Scheffelin, Tom By Tom Scheffelin, California Air Resources Board Erroneous Scientific consensus stifles progress The constant barrage of articles, movies, legislation and quasi-religious fervor surrounding global warming made me wonder what naturally causes the earth’s climate to periodically change. Why should one care? If we allow science to become politicized, then we are lost (Michael Crichton). When government policy is based on the misinformation of the few, the many will suffer.

Why is the global warming hoax perpetuated? Newspapers and magazines sell. Researchers win grants. Government environmental regulators will keep staff busy – forever. Nonprofits that are unable to accomplish their goals through normal means push misguided global warming legislation. Finally, environmental raiders want to plunder our nation’s wealth through emission trading schemes.

Cyclic global warming is normal and must occur no matter what anyone does or does not do. The most frequent global climate cycle is caused by the ocean’s response to the orbits of the earth and moon.

Approximately 80 years ago, Otto Pettersson proposed that the periodic orbital alignment of the earth and moon relative to the sun, which occurs every 1,800 years, causes changes in massive movements of underwater ocean water, altering their vertical mixing and therefore the ocean’s temperature, the fishing stocks and the climate. Smaller nine year changes account for more periodic changes in weather. Pettersson based his theory on careful tidal measurements, conducted over many years, then compared the results to the Scandinavian herring industry catch (‘Peter Freuchen’s Book of the Seven Seas’). web site global warming hoax

In April 2000, Dr. Charles Keeling, the premier planetary carbon dioxide scientist in the world, published a paper titled ‘The 1,800-year oceanic tidal cycle: A possible cause of rapid climate change.’ The paper, based on the analysis of high resolution ice-core and deep-sea sediment-core records over the past million years, further supports Pettersson’s theory.

According to Pettersson’s theory, the Earth will be in a warming cycle until approximately 2350. It is instructive to note that a global warming hoaxer claimed the Earth would not return to normal for another 900 years, which was already predicted by the Pettersson theory.

Does carbon dioxide affect the climate? Carbon dioxide levels track temperature changes between 300 to 1,000 years after the temperature has changed. Carbon dioxide has no direct role in global warming; rather, it responds to biological activity, which responds to climate changes. website global warming hoax

Should products be energy efficient, produced with the minimum of materials, energy and cost? Absolutely. But beware future radical government mandates designed to save the planet.

What can one do? Elect legislators who do not fall prey to the global warming hysteria. Walk or bicycle as often as possible; the world is a better place when experienced on foot or by bicycle. Grow two ears of corn where before only one ear grew (‘Gulliver’s Travels’). Stop worrying over global warming; worry causes poor health. Study geology, it’s fascinating. Enjoy life during this, the most productive, safe and healthful era in the history of mankind. Finally, put your trust in God; the world is in His hands.
