The Max Hetzler gallery is one of the largest and oldest in Berlin. It consists of three different exhibition spaces that each show different artists. It shows top quality pieces by well known contemporary artists. It was previously located in West Berlin, but now sits in the eastern part of the city near to what used to be the Berlin Wall. This location is ideal, as East Berlin is often compared with the bohemian Greenwich Village in New York City. Both are cultural centers brimming with creativity and art.
