Sarah Pickstone is the first woman in 23 years to win the John Moores Painting Prize, BBC reports. Britian’s most prestigious painting prize, it has been awarded in the past to artists David Hockney, Richard Hamilton and Peter Doig. Pickstone’s Stevie Smith and The Willow was chosen from more than 3,000 entries.  Read more via BBC News
