Brant, an art dealer based out of Connecticut, is the Chairman and CEO of Brant-Allen Industries, Inc. and is owner of Brant Publications, Inc. specializing in art-related publications.

He has collected with his wife, supermodel Stephanie Seymour for many years. He engages in other creative projects, such as film production, credited in the 1996 film Basquiat and 2000’s Pollock as well as the 2006 documentary Andy Warhol: A Documentary Film. He is the owner/breeder of Thoroughbred racehorses, including the winner of the 1984 Kentucky Derby. He is also the owner of Greenwich Polo Club. He has accumulated numerous works by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichenstein, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jeff Koons, Richard Prince and Christopher Wool. Notable pieces include Warhol’s “Thirty Are Better Than One” a collage of thirty Mona Lisas and Koon’s “Pink Panther”.

In regards to negative reviews, Brant explained, “I pay attention: if people are critically against somebody, that’s a sign to me that there’s some interest there, that there’s an interesting statement there. IF I hear that somebody’s getting really bad reviews, that sometimes attracts me because historically, many great artists have gotten very bad reviews.”
