A small statuette stolen in 1901 from the Musée de la Chartreuse in Douai, France has been discovered and returned by the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.  The statue’s origins were uncovered during a routine history check, and was promptly handed back to the French institution.  “We don’t want to hold onto, nor do we have any business holding onto, stolen objects,†says the MFA’s full-time provenance researcher, Victoria Reed.Read more at The Art Newspaper
