This weekend The Flag Art Foundation, a new private exhibition space located in New York’s Chelsea Art Tower opened its inaugural show Attention to Detail curated by Chuck Close. The exhibition features work from 50 contemporary artists, including very established names like Damien Hirst and Cindy Sherman, as well as emerging artists.

The Flag Art Foundation, founded by collector Glenn Fuhrman, will function like a museum, inviting curators to organize exhibitions from its extensive collection. The foundation will also loan artwork to facilitate exhibitions elsewhere.

The gallery, which takes up over 7000sf on two floors of the Chelsea Arts Tower, is open by appointment but will also hold monthly public viewings. Attention to Detail is on view through April.
