Sotheby’s announced that a Francis Bacon ‘screaming pope’ painting from 1954 will be sold at auction on Nov. 13th in New York. The work has been in a private collection for almost 40 years and the presale estimate is nearly 200 times what the owner paid, at $18-25 million.Read the full article via The Guardian
