146 Artworks once owned by Ferdinand and Imelda Marcos are missing

Exiled Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos and his wife Imelda acquired many masterpieces, including Picassos and Van Goghs, 146 of which are unaccounted for, according to The Philippine government. Andres Bautista, head of the Presidential Commission on Good Government, told AFP: “The Marcoses were art aficionados and they spent millions of dollars buying up these paintings.” By all estimates the missing paintings are valued at hundreds of millions of dollars.Read the story via The Telegraph
