British Arts Funding Faces New Budget Cuts

Baltic Arts CenterAs the British Government calls for another 10% reduction on top of a 25% cut to arts funding since 2010, Media, Culture and Sport minister Maria Miller is resisting. While the minister argues that the economic growth provided by these organizations is greater than the subsidy they receive, critics note that the actual benefits are hard to classify.
