Artist John Baldessari has brought his popular Your Name in Lights piece to Paris, allowing 100,000 people to submit their name in hopes of seeing it emblazoned on the façade of the Monnaie de Paris, shining out on the Seine between the Pont Neuf and Pont des Arts.

Previously installed at Amsterdam’s Stedelijk Museum in 2011, Baldessari’s work is a coy turn on Warhol’s “15 minutes of fame,” allowing any interested party to submit, and pass by the historic building in hopes of seeing their name glimmering on the immensely ornate LED lighting board.  The project was launched on Saturday, September 13th, and will remain on view, scrolling through its list of names, for a full month.

Interested parties can submit their information at the project website for the chance to see their name shining out on city of lights.
