Paris Hilton, by Jonathan Yeo, via Gawker; collage made from pornographic magazine clippings

During the opening, a live re-creation of one of Zevs’s best known pieces, a Chanel logo dripping paint, was painted on a model’s back before an amused group of downtown art enthusiasts. Other works on display include Jonathan Yeo’s notorious collage portrait of George W. Bush put together from porn magazine clippings. A similar, more recent portrait of Paris Hilton is also included in the show. Yeo is giving the proceeds from the sale of the piece to Hilton, citing that the heiress never received any proceeds from the sale of her now infamous sex tape. Lazarides is known for sucessful and creative promotion a select group of international street artists over the years, many of whom have crossed over to the forefront of contemporary art.
