Uta Barth, An-My Lê and filmmaker Natalia Almada have been named 2012 MacArthur fellows. Each artist will receive $500,000 over the next five years, with no restrictions on its use. Uta Barth is a conceptual artist whose work deals with the photographic perception and the subject’s relation to the image-making process.
