Germany has announced at least another year of funding for research into the provenance of artwork from the Cornelius Gurlitt trove.  “We all had higher expectations than we could meet, and that is because this is a singular case,”says culture minister Monika Grütters. “It is so extraordinary that there is no pattern to follow.”
