Christie’s November sale in New York will include one of the series of 14 Nymphéas works that were among Claude Monet’s last paintings, estimated at $30 to $35 million.   “By the turn of the 20th century, the pond became the almost-exclusive subject of Monet’s art, inspiring an outpouring of creativity that, for many, marks the summit of his career,” the auction house said in a statement.Read more at Art Market Monitor
