Artist themed browsers launch on Google

Google recently launched a new customization feature which allows users to choose the background of their search toolbars. They’ve recruited 68 of today’s influential creatives in music and fashion as well as artists such as Shepard Fairey and Jeff Koons.

Contemporary artists such as Shepard Fairey show trademark designs that will most likely increase the viewership of their imagery globally. Each artist has a rotating stock of images for the program.

“Google has become the doorway to the internet for a lot of people, so we want to make (the site) feel more like an online living room,” said Marissa Mayer, Google’s vice president of search products and user experience. The new personalized Google is already in wide use and we can expect more artist themes soon.
