A piece in the New York Times notes the growing stature of the London Contemporary Art auctions each October, and the challenges of two sets of major auctions each fall focusing on marquee works between New York and London. “There’s a volume issue,” says advisor Anthony McNerney of this month’s sales in the British capital. “A lot of collectors were feeling ‘art blind.’ ”
