Auctions from Robert Indiana’s Estate Profiled in The Guardian

The Guardian has a piece on the Robert Indiana estate’s auctioning of two works from its holdings this week to pay legal fees, diving into the controversy behind the late artist’s passing and his legacy. “If the estate is ever going to be preserved or studied or visited, whether it’s a museum or research center, it seems to me works like that are essential as part of a bigger picture,” says John Wilmerding, a Princeton professor who has researched Indiana extensively.
